I have odds and ends peeking up, bearly, but on Friday I saw a YELLOW finch, not winter gray brown, but really yellow. That was encouraging.

Well, Monday I had a bluebird huddled in one of my trees with a look that said "oh crap, oh crap, oh crap....what's with this snow?" LOL

So far nothing poking up here yet, but if it gets to 68 on Tuesday like they are predicting I bet I'll see some green!

You guys need some early bulbs. Snowdrops, Eranthis and Croucus are all blooming out here in the country.

The tulip bulbs I planted this past fall are now sprouting through the winter mulch, and my winter sowed Phlox Divartica are also sprouting. My Annabelle Hydrangea have small green buds, but most of all I have lots of weeds sprouting everywhere!

Crocus and snowdrops are up, but not in bloom yet, a few daffs and hyacinths poking up as well as early tulips. Rhubarb and horseradish are poking up. Maltese Cross is starting to show growth as well.

I do have crocus, but haven't seen them come up. I planted them 3 years ago. I also have some type of hellebore, but it hasn't bloomed yet, unless I missed that. I just planted that in the fall. I don' really care for snowdrops so I didn't plant those.

I have a few little early crocus blooming now - about to be snowed-under. Gotta love Minnesota...
There are also scylla and early tulip noses up.

My crocus have been blooming for about a week and species tulips are about 2 days from blooming. All my other bulbs are several inches tall, and lots of perennials are poking out of the ground. Lots of woodland flowers are starting to come out of the ground. The pussy willows have been blooming for a few days, and lilac buds are swelling. As I look out the window there is about a half inch of snow on everything already, could be a foot of snow by Friday night!
