Update on invasive plant I got at swap

One of you had a gooseneck loosestrife or something like that. Had more warnings on it than a bottle of haz-mat.

Anyway, I've planted it in my backyard where it has to face the following conditions:

Morning and early/late evening sun

Sharing the area with some maple trees

The very real possibility of getting stepped on by two very active dogs.

I checked it last evening--still hanging in there!

That'll test its mortality! ;)

all of the gooseneck loosestrife I got from freecyle last year died!! that was when I first started gardening and didnt amend the soil. but still!!! oh well. I don't think I wanted it anyway.

As long as it s not purple loosestrife it sounds like it would be great for that spot!

Dawn, I brought along a potful of goosneck loosestrife, but I don't think you got it from me - did you? I thought I foisted mine upon an unsuspecting newbie will will probably give up gardening on my account.
