Which Maple for swamp area?

I need a Maple, that will be in swamp wet soil year around. I habe a swamp behind my back yard. They are building behind that swamp, so I want to plant trees to block them and have some privacy. I heard Silver are very fast growing. Are standared Red good for these conditions? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Another common name for red maple is swamp maple. But I wouldn't count on being able to buy some and immerse them and have that work out. Even with trees that do grow under water, such as bald cypresses whether they take or not depends on more variables than just the presence of standing water. And if the development alters the water movement (or lack of it!) patterns there conditions on your lot may change.

What kind of trees and shrubs are growing natively there, if any? They might serve as indicators of what others could be suitable for your particular set of circumstances. Wetlands can vary markedly in what plants grow in them, right in the same vicinity.

I can't identify what is growing. Some berry trees. I can take pictures if you need it.
