This sounds more like a woodchuck..... Rabbits usually go for clematis and other delicate morsels. I include clover in my lawn and bunnies will usually stay busy with that. If it's a woodchuck one of you needs to move. Woodchucks will sit on what they don't like and eat most everything else.

Saw sighting, and it's definitely a rabbit, not woodchuck.
It has not touched my clematis, because it's entwined with my roses.
A friend had mentioned planting lettuce around perimeter of my yard to keep the rabbit busy, and won't eat my plant. Do you think this will work?

I saw a rabbit munching on my lilies today. But they are so darn adorable and they really entertain the kitties.

I have lots of clover in my lawn, too, and it keeps the bunnies busy. It keeps him away from the lettuce even. Of course lettuce won't grow when it gets real hot.

Saw another sighting of the wascally rabbit(s) and it was a mama bunny accompanied by it's young....they are cute, but they are chomping off all the tender shoots from my plants.
I was able to shooo them away from the garden, and herd them outside the fence by turning on the water hose. I then started rolling out the chicken wire to attach to the fence. Hopefully this will keep them out of my garden for this season......keeping my fingers crossed.
