I can see how composting would be sped up, but I don't know about 2 weeks. It would depend on the material too. Grass clippings would be 2 weeks.

I had two different kinds, both highly advertised in garden magazines.
One had ribs to churn the compost. That one worked quite well. The other didn't. It wasn't particularly effective.

Unfortunately, I don't remember which was which but I am sure the literature will tell you.

The ones from Garden Supply would be fine if they have ribs. I wouldn't mess with any other kind.

Thank you guys for the advise. I searched for reviews and it seems most people complained 2-weeks is not realistic, the end product is uneven, etc. I think I will stick with the old fashioned way.

The Compost forum is a great place to research/learn about these. From what I've read I understand that they do work (in 2 weeks) if loaded correctly. By correctly it means FULL and with the right balance of greens vs browns. A home garden situation rarely has the correct volume and balance of materials all ready to go into the bin at the same time.
