It depends on the variety you have, some are June-bearing plants and some are ever-bearing.. If they are June bearing you will see flowers toward the middle-end of May and fruit that is ready to pick in June, that has been my experience anyway..I have June bearing.

Awesome, thank you. I was just at the local nursery and saw multiple strawberry plants with flowers already on them. I was a bit worried because I haven't seen anything on mine yet.

Tuck some straw around the plants so that the berries stay off the ground to prevent rot. Also, be ready to cover with bird netting and protect from chipmunks/squirrels. Just about the time you have that one perfect berry, you will go out and find it gone or have a big bite taken out.
