i get most of my seed from Johnnys and Fedco. i don't think there's any market or money in selling seed unless you sell thousands of seeds or you have some very unusual seed.

I happened to see this, and can tell you about three Canadian seed sources.

Tatiana of Tatiana's TomatoBase (a database of 4,824 OP varieties -- the largest online tomato database in English) for the last several years has been selling many, many varieties of OP tomato seeds. In the last few years she's begun adding veggies as well. I've bought from Tatiana and definitely recommend her.

You may already know about Richter's, which has a major herb catalog. I've bought from them a couple of times (though not for a few years), and recommend them.

Also in Maine is Pinetree Garden. Their seeds are quite inexpensive, but seed packets are a bit smaller.

Rupp, Seedway, Siegers, and Twilley all cater to larger-scale orders, depending on the quantity you want. Morgan County Seed is the first company I check, because they tend to have the lowest prices. Tomato Grower's Supply has a great selection of peppers. Territorial has a nice catalog. And I second the recommendations for Johnny's and Tatiana. Baker Creek and Seed Saver's Exchange have a nice selection of rare heirloom seeds.

I sell seeds and plants at market. I like having seeds at the winter markets.
