It has all the symptoms of what i have read to be SVB's, but I am not convinced just yet...I did an autopsy , and found what appeared to be 1 or 2 translucent termite or ant larvae in the affected parts on each vine/stalk.....they are approx. 1/4 inch long and do NOT look like grubs...the afflicted areas look brown and mushy with a little chimney of brown/tan mushy excrement...plus, i have never heard of SVB's attacking corn , and have spent the better part of two days out there and have seen no sign of those evil mutherf'ing moths....what else could this be ?....
