When he had it out of his back yard he was John's lawnmower repair. I am not sure what he calls himself now, but I have dealt with him and would go back if I had need to do so. Traded in my lawnmower last year when The state had the gas for electric swap,.

I've now spoken to half a dozen Honda places, including the factory -- all say that it's a common problem, but that you can't buy individual parts to fix this, only a replacement tranny, which would be $175 for the unit plus install costs (est $75 more at most places, and I'm not about to try to do this myself). So at $250 to fix it, I guess I'll be spending $300 for a new one instead...

Thanks, folks -- anyone want a dead tiller for free? If you install the new tranny yourself, it'd be half the price of a new one...

Personally, I've had good luck with Marlboro Mowers fixing a lawn mower and sharpening blades.
