We live in south FL and "enjoyed" a visit from Hurricane Wilma last week. Our maple (don't know exact type - I think it is a Florida Maple)is about 16 years old and approx. 30 feet tall. The tree had some broken branches last year (after 2 hurricanes) which we removed, but this year it feels like Wilma tried to pull it out of the ground. The roots are not exposed, but they are pulled to the top. You can feel them just under the grass - all the way around the base. Some large holes opened up in the ground surrounding the tree.

I am so worried that we will lose it - what is our best course of action? Any advice would be appreciated.
