I know, isn't it fun? I have alot of sprouts in the jugs, but there are still some that haven't done anything yet.
Cosmos, dianthus, and many others I can't recall at the moment.

I tried it for the first time this year and I'm HOOKED.
Loved it, gave me a chance to garden in January.
I have a few jugs sprouted but waiting on a lot more yet.
Still early. Enough has sprouted for me to consider the whole endeavor a success though.

I've done it for something like 5 years now, and it's wonderful. I'm getting to the point where I don't necessarily do so many perennials, or if I do, it's something new and more unique that I plan to use to replace something else or something that I want big drifts of instead of single specimens. I do a big chunk of my annuals this way though. I do buy pansies in April because I want the early color, and I buy impatiens because they don't work with wsing for me, but other than that, almost all of my annuals are started from seed by this method or by direct sowing (sunflowers). About half of the jugs I put out this winter are sprouted and I just put out another 60 in the last week.

I got mine in really late (last part of Feb) but still my container of digitalis lutea has sprouted, the others only have one or two sprouts but I'm still hopeful. Need some more warm days ...
