It is this saturday August 22nd from 10am to 4pm at the Southwest Area Park,
3000 Georgia Avenue, Halethorpe, MD 21227

Folks can bring their heilooms or Hybrids and put them on plates marked with the name of the tomato and its owner. We taste and vote through out the afternoon to determine the finest tomato of the bunch!

The numbers of varieties has varied from 50 to 100 from year to year and Black Cherry seems to always do well.

Folks are encouraged to bring tomatoey side dishes and we will be grilling meat and I have brewed a Belgian Wit for the occasion (4 cases :-)

There is no charge but Cecelia and I have spent $100 to rent the pavilion so if folks are willing we have a TIP jar that they can put a few bucks in if they want to help. That said we don't even remember the jar until clean up :-)

Take I-695 [Baltimore Beltway Outer Loop] (I-695 / Glen Burnie)
At exit 6A, take Ramp (RIGHT) onto SR-170 [N Camp Meade Rd] (MD-170/Camp Meade Rd North/N Linthicum) 0.8 miles
Turn LEFT (North) onto SR-648 [Baltimore Annapolis Blvd] 0.8 miles
Keep STRAIGHT onto SR-648 [Annapolis Rd] 0.7 miles
Turn RIGHT (East) onto Georgia Ave 0.3 miles
Park is at end of road behind Light Rail station - cross train tracks to enter park.
Turn LEFT at park entrance. Pavilions & parking lots will be on your right.

Take I-695 [Baltimore Beltway Outer Loop] (I-695 / Glen Burnie) to Exit 9 - Hollins Ferry Road East.
Right on Daisy Avenue
Right on Annapolis Road
Turn LEFT onto GEORGIA AVE.
Park is at end of road behind Light Rail station - cross train tracks to enter park.
Turn LEFT at park entrance. Pavilions & parking lots will be on your right.
