My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Anyone have experiences to share about this shrub? I've had and lost one in the past, but it may have been sited incorrectlyÂfull sun, may have dried out also. I'd like to try another one but am wary about its hardiness. Appreciate any feedback. GaryStPaul
I have not had one myself, but have had a few clients who have tried. The success/fail rate was fairly even, about half have failed. There were good and bad results on sandy and clay soil, the owners were fairly good with watering practices, and in two cases, the owners put in two and lost one. The losses happened in different winters. I guess all this proves is that the hardiness is questionable. They are beautiful, it is all about how much you are willing to gamble.
Helen, thank you. That's kinda what I figured. But, I'm a gamblerÂwhat happy garden fool isn't?Âand put a beautiful specimen into a spot with some sun, some shade, right near a rain barrel; loosened soil deeply, and treated it to my best compost mixed with peat, and am crossing my fingers. At the very least it'll give me 16$ worth of pleasure this year. Thanks again. GaryStPaul
