I had great luck with the little pearl pickleing onions once. The pkg gave no directions so I just broadcast as though I was sowing grass seed. The next two times I planted in rows 1/4" deep. (It was what those 2 packages said to do.) I had terrible results.

I ordered another package which arrived on Saturday. My inclination is to broadcast the way I did the first time, but this package also says to plant in rows with 1/4" of soil covering.
