From there click on the text below that map that says "enlarge map" and scroll and zoom in or out. If you put your mouse icon on the displayed temperatures, it will show you temp and windspeed, etc at dozens of area rainfall stations. You can click on those links to see which ones have rainfall data. There are also a lot of live cameras in the area where you can look to see if it's raining, cloudy, sunny, etc.

Hey cool, I've been looking for something with rainfall. They even have several sites in Westminster where I live. Thanks! Now if we could only get those rain numbers to go up. A lot!

Hi Watergal. I grew up in Westminster! Just keep in mind that these are privately run sites. There is no quality control at all. So take all the data with a grain of salt. You'll figure out over time which local stations are reliable. All of them together make for a really cool resource.

Mike, small world! We move here in 1993 from Woodlawn. Before that, I lived in downtown Baltimore, before that college in Williamsburg, childhood in Springfield, VA. So I'm a broad-based "Mid-Atlantic gardener"! But I like Westminster the best.

After growing up in Westminster, I bought my first house outside of Woodlawn! On Dogwood Rd, right above the river. Then my kids approached school age, so I moved to my current house in Ellicott City. Small world indeed.

I don't even recognize Westminster anymore. All the fields I grew up playing in are cookie cutter developments now. The garden plots my parents rented are under Carroll Community College now...
