In my experience, they are better off with a few hours of morning sun and then shade in afternoon. This way they seem to be much more lush and green, whereas the leaves tend to be more of a yellowish color in full sunlight. Since the quantity of flowers does not seen to increase in full sun, I think it is better to have them in part shade and have nicer looking plants as well as wonderful blooms. I have never tried them in morning shade/afternoon sun so I will refrain from comment.
