I heard if you take a branch off the honeysuckle shrub and put it in water, it will root. Any idea how long it takes before it gets roots?

When I lived in Maryland, we had a lovely honeysuckle bush by our front door. At least I think it was a bush. The flowers were always only white. I never remember having any yellow, let alone reddish, flowers like I see in the catalogs. Would that have been the same kind that grows here? I'd love to have one now.

I don't think it's any special kind - the flowers are red on the outside (from what I can rememeber of them, they're not blooming yet).
