Strawberries Quit!!!

In early and mid-June my bed, mixed Ever-Bearing and June Bearing, was filled with lovely blossoms and then some nice berries. Most berries lacked full flavor but they were robust healthy looking berries. Now the entire bed has just STOPPED producing anything! No blossoms and no berries. What the heck is that all about??

I haven't had a great year for berries either. This week's edition of the Agri-News had a front page story about local strawberry growers having a very bad year here in SE MN. So it's nothing you did - Mother Nature just does what she wants.

Sounds like your June-bearing took over the bed. Mine are done too, though my Evers are still making a few. There WILL be a lull in them as well for a few weeks while they deal with this heat. Make sure you WATER them a lot!
