I purchased some flats of 1203 off of ebay. I paid $5-$6 for 60 trays plus shipping. I got lucky.

Have you tried amleo.com or jordanseed.com? I've bought from jordan for a few years for my seeds, and have been happy. I know their website wasn't up-to-date last month, but you could call them. I haven't found 1801s on ebay yet. There are pots, both 3" and 4", made out of poultry feathers and them seem reasonable.

Here are some 1801's for 55 cents a tray, but you will need to order 100 of them.

Jay, if you think $55 is a good price, you need to look around some more. 100 is standard case amount, anything less will cost more. Most of sizes will run the same price, that's why I was very pleased with getting 120 new flats for $11 plus shipping. Shipping was higher than the price for the flats.

I know you will always find lower prices, but I was happy with that price. I believe it was lower last year. The OP had a much higher price and I was just sharing a price that was much lower than theirs.

While I love to shop ebay, I feel that it is a hit and miss. Great bargins, but they aren't always available.

jrslick, that is a good price but i am looking for the deeper ones nearly 3" deep. more soil = longer shelf life

You get what you pay for. Most seed trays on the market are flimsy garbage made from cheap thin plastic that leaches toxic chemicals into your edible plants. I personally opt for the higher strength trays that last years and are made from food grade material. These are the ones I use and I'm extremely happy with them. They don't crack, they don't melt in direct sunlight and you can probably carry 50 pounds of weight in them, so you know they're built to last.
