I'd like to say 'patience'. That was the advice given me. It seems to be the key word with moonflower vines. I have waited soooo long for buds, now I have had buds for soooo long. It takes a while to get buds, then it takes a while for the buds to flower. My vines have had buds for 3 weeks now, no flowers yet. I watch them daily (nightly), I surely don't want to miss them. This is my first season growing them. I am sure once I get flowers and see that nothing is wrong, I will relax about these plants. Next year I will probably remember not to count on flowers until September. It has been a cooler, wetter summer here for us, so that may be one reason mine are late, or at least later than I thought they'd be. Some people report good results with the fertilizer that shanklemsw recommends. Keep us posted and good luck!

Thanks! I figured I had done something wrong and some nights we have a light on by the back door so I wondered if it might prevent them budding/blooming. Will consider the super phosphate too. I'll let you know what happens!
