Night Blooming Cirrus

gyrogyrl

Hi

I am totally plant-impaired, but have been tending a cutting from my Mom's night-blooming cirrus for over a year. After doing nothing for a long time, it has exploded - one bud has grown almost 2 feet in the past month, with 11 spikes on it that look like they will be blooms.

Its in an 8" pot that is now in danger of topplig over.

What, if anything, do I need to do for the plant (does it need a bigger pot?) and is there anyway to tell when the plant will bloom? Should I prop it up somehow?

Thanks for any advice; I have no idea what I'm doing.
