It is Heleopsis.
I have a clump of it myself. It is a very hardy anchor plant in my flower bed. (but doesn't spread too bad either)

Aw....it's so pretty. I just threw all of mine away. It was infested with little red bugs. The bugs have been there for the past three years and they were starting to "get happy" with other plants in the garden. They are so pretty though! Such a nice late summer/early fall bloomer!

heliopsis, for sure - I thought golden glow too until I looked closely. I would guess "summer sun" if I had to guess a cultivar. I have mine in full sun and part shade and they bloom about the same in each place. I think that there's also one called " lorraine sunshine" that has variegaed leaves but I've never grown it.

I had one that had the little red mites for more than one year but they have not shown up this year. I fertilized the bed in question well this year, so I wonder if that had anything to do with it. Could just be the local climate conditions and populations
