Hmm. I planted Sweet Woodruff among my hostas, Primula, Lamium maculatum with pink flowers, Lily of the valley, Creeping Phlox, and a small stand of daffodils. All these are right at the base of a maple tree. They don't bloom at the same time, but the forms and colors are pretty together. I have a lot of Johnny-jump ups seedlings coming up with them too. That spot is very pretty from spring until mid summer. It does look a bit ragged afterward when the soil dries out. I have added a lot of compost and manure there this month. I'll see whether that will help.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! Although I bought some primrose, I planted it in a different spot. I decided to just move some Grape Hyacinths that are slowly taking over. They are a nice bit of purple backdrop to the white blooms I have right now. Once everything fills in it'll look good enough!

I had Grape Hyacinth with Sweet Woodruff under a Cornus Mas. The hyacinth & SW will look great together. Water during dry spells or (as mentioned above) the woodruff gets snotty looking. The woodruff will walk around, so don't be afraid to pull some up if it gets out of bounds.

I'll agree with Scoop48 I've got that combo and it really is a nice blend especially if its the pink (Common) Bleeding Heart with Sweet Woodruff,keeping the soil using the SW as cover!
