Need some ideas for front border *perennials afternoon sun

Help! I have been searching for a mound form perennial for the front border and can't seem to make up my mind. I've been thinking of Lady's Mantle but I want to get some more ideas. What I would like is something that is about no higher then 12" and that blooms flowers of any color. Preferably something that stays looking good all thru summer and maybe fall.
