Something is eating my Rhubarb ALREADY!

Zone 4 in WI. We had a very cold winter and the soil temp is still to cool to plant - BUT my rhubarb plants are growing well - almost 10" tall on May 1. What in the world would be eating the leaves at this time of year? HELP!
