My azalea is confused!

I have an azalea that is beginning to bloom--the problem is that it is September 14. I believe it is a yellow Northern Lights variety. I planted it about two years ago and have one gotten perhaps one bloom. It has lots of buds now and there are about three that are opening. I suppose this means I won't have any blooms again next year? I don't suppose there is anyway to induce a little jet-lag here? Also have delphiniums reblooming. I guess that extra-early spring we had is mixing things up a bit.
