Hello everyone,

I purchased a house in January that sat vacant for 1.5 years. Now I'm having to deal with all the weeds that took over the property. I have thistle, dandelions, crabgrass, clover, some vines, other types that I've never seen. We tried putting down pre-emergent, pulling them, weed and feed, and finally went with TruGreen.

My question is the following - I don't know what type of grass I have but I live in Chicago. Recently I've noticed a different kind of grass taking over/growing on a portion of my lawn. I ask a couple of people but they don't know what it is or if I should be concerned about it.
