Violets

I've got several shade beds on my property that have a tendency to fill with violets. I don't have the ambition, or even the desire really, to get rid of them. (I try to avoid using chemicals if at all possible.) Throughout the ten years we've been here, the violets have taken over hostas, lamium, and even vincas. The only plants that continue to come back through the violets are coral bells, and turtleheads. Are there any other plants (preferably taller plants) that will live peacefully with violets? I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Karen
