Thanks DD! I was also wondering about plants like brussel sprouts, broccoli, carrots, fava beans, Kohlrabi, garlic, onions, peas, parsnips and potatoes. Does anyone know how they overwinter here?

Garlic can be planted in the fall, maybe some carrots, the rest will freeze. Fall is a good time to plant walking onions for summer though. October 17 average first freeze date.Hope this helps,dd.
