How Much Rain?

It just started raining here on the near west side of Chicago. Beautiful site those roiling clouds.

The forecast calls for about an inch or so -- not complaining.

How much did others get in nearby areas?

I got one whole inch here in Jefferson Park (northwest side). Woo-hoo! What a great surprise.

I'm in far nw suburbs and it seems we got about an inch also..some is better than none definitely.

Wah, I'm JEALOUS. We're between Springfield and St. Louis and it's just HOT. We did get about .6" last week which helped. But we need a bunch more!!

Between when it rained this afternoon and when I got home from work at 5:30, the pavement had about dried...except for the puddles. My answer is that Oak Park didn't get enough rain! My fingers are crossed for more.
