I haven't gotten any catalogs yet either. I am planning on winter sowing more native plants. I am not sure which ones yet there are so many I don't have. I will also be adding to my sedum and cactus gardens.

The only catalog I've received so far is Thompson & Morgan (seed only). I always love getting the catalogs in the mail and then narrowing down my plant lusts, oops I mean lists. Ok, I really don't like the narrowing down part, but reality has to set in at some point. If you're looking for lilies, check out www.thelilygarden.com, B&D lilies or several people on the lily forum also suggested BuggyCrazy. I know I'll be looking for more hostas, heucheras and lobelia.

My High Country Gardens catalog came.

Mine has also arrived as well as Pinetree.

I've gotten several: McClure & Zimmerman, Pinetree, Territorial Seeds, some I can't remember.

Lilies - ABSOLUTELY go to buggycrazy.com. She's simply the best.

Yesterday I got Heronswood nursery catalog "Rare and Exotic Cultivars". I don't remember ordering it so I must have gotten on their list somehow. They have amazing plants, expensive too, I didn't see any plants under $9.95. There aren't many zone 4 and below, but there are lot's of nice pictures. I may even try some zone stretching from it in a year or two. This years experiment is with hardy cactus seeds.

Hmmm. First time I've been to the "Heronswood" site since it is no longer Heronswood. Just understand who you will really be buying from (Burpee). It is very sad what happened to that great Heronswood Nursery, but unlike some gardeners, I don't know that boycotting is the answer.

I would really like to find a good source for some dwarf conifers and cactus. Do you purchase through a catalog?

I am on a quest for hardy cactus. I have gotten them from Prairie Moon Nursery and High County Gardens. I also have found some other addresses, but haven't checked them out. I will post if the seem good. Prairie Moon carries the only two native to MN.

Thanks for the cactus source info. I have been growing a few as houseplants and putting them outside in the summer. Here's a link to picture of one that bloomed for me after four years of abuse (of me, cactus can be viscious.)

High Country gardens is great for cactus (among other things). From them, I have been growing outside for several years now:
Escobaria leei
Echinocereus coccineus

Both have stayed quite small though.
