It is a moderate growing, suckering shrub to about 3-4ft in height and spread. It appreciates well-drained soil and does well in full sun or part shade. It begins its bloom here heavily in about May/June for about one month. It's doing a bit of repeat bloom right now. I don't think it is the blooming machine it is reported to be and I can't detect any scent at all, though some people sware it smells like a lilac... Personally, I like the blossom color (violet), but it's probably highly overrated.
