Pauline - I would love to have a studio, as you do, so I could have all those windows to enjoy the beauty the outdoors has to offer. You are soooo lucky to be able to spend your days in such a place. Someday I hope to covert my 12 X 36 cement patio, off my walkout, to a porch with lots of windows to enjoy my backyard gardens.

Sandy, my studio was a three season porch until we turned it into a studio two years ago. It was well worth the time and expense. I almost live out there. I would love to add a gas fireplace one of these days.

Sounds lovely, Pauline! I remember once we were in a boat on Lake Elliot up by Cloquet and there was a rainbow, and it ended right in the lake in front of us...too cool!

My best view is out of my back windows as the sun goes down over my woods. I am lucky to have a few acres of native/naturalized trees, most of them bare in winter except for the odd cedar, and the spruces transplanted from my (late) father's place several years ago. Interspersed with large birches that have somehow not succumbed to borer disase are very large oaks, sugar maples, and several magestic cottonwoods. I walk in these woods almost every day and it only renews how happy I am to live here.
