If you must have flowers this summer....plant with nursery plants....they ought to be 1/2 price now. If you plant seeds....you won't see flowers until about frost.

buy grown plants from nursery rather than the seed. you can plant both perenials and annuals. it's getting hot, so make sure they are well watered for a while otherwise they'll wilt fast. you can sow seeds if you really like doing it, but it's alot of work and you have to be even more deligent with watering if you are sowing now. wait till fall for spring flowering bulb.

What information is there on the 'Weed Be Gone' package that says about how long to wait before replanting?

If it is glyphosate-based, and you've had some rain, then you can probably replant soon.

If it's one of those 'your drive will stay weed free for a year' - shout yourself some tubs and do your garden displays there this year.

If you're going to buy remainder plants, two points: deal with the inevitable root mass by removing the bottom eighth and gently flaring the bottom of the plug; and schedule the time to provide the TLC so they can catch up.

In the summer, you can absolutely plant seeds for fall bloomers. But it's a bit late for seeds for summer bloomers, so you may want to try established nursery plants as the others suggested.

Where are you located and what's your zone? That will make a lot of difference in what you're able to do yet this summer. Here's a link to a zone map so you can look it up.

And what DID happen to your flowers? Were you spraying some weeds and the weed killer drifted onto the good stuff? Whatever happened, I'm sure you're not alone! With most systemic weed killers the area can be planted very soon after spraying, but definitely do check the bottle for whatever you used just to be sure.
