I have been pulling out morning glory and sweet peas all spring. Trumpet vine might be a better choice.

There are other vines that I don't think can survive our Winters in seed form. Some are Chilean glory bower, Clitoria and clock vine,and hyacinth bean. I prefer the scientific names, but, off hand, cannot come up with some. I also am not sure scarlet runner bean would.
Neither moonvine or heavenly blue morning glory ever come back for me, but others definitely have.

DO NOT PLANT TRUMPET VINE! It's been 10 years since I moved into my house and I'm still killing it! I hate that stuff. It sprouts up in a 30' diameter from where the original vine was. They are hard to dig out and I'm sure that I'm not getting the mother root, I'm only trimming the new sprout.
