Very unlikely they would do anything but maybe bkloom just before frost.....

Well, most hollyhocks are biennial, and I've been told they can be planted in the late summer to fall, to bloom the next year. I have planted alcea seed in early August for that purpose, but my zone is considerably warmer in the fall than your zone, so I truly don't know if you could do the same.

Your poppy seeds want a season of freezing so you can decide where you want them to bloom next spring and prepare the bed now, plant the seeds this fall.

I'm going to direct you over to the winter sowing forum, check out all the info that are in the FAQ's (frequently asked questions) they are at the top of the page on the Winter Sowing forum. In your zone its kind of late to start from seed, but you can be prepared for next season wtih the winter sowing method. Poppies do exceptionally well with that method as do hosta and hollyhocks.
