Transplanting Question

The previous occupant of my house planted Peonys and balloon flowers. I love both plants, but I'm sure they were planted when everything was still young and the front yard had full sun. Now the plants and trees in the front yard are matured and it has turned into a mostly shaded area. These two plants are suffering because they are now completely shaded with little sun. The balloon flowers aren't even flowering. They've grown, but not buds whatsoever. I need to transplant both plants to a more sunny area...most likely the backyard. Any tips, recommendations, instructions on transplanting these plants? Sorry this is so long.

Thanks!
