A bit of advice from one who made the mistake: Look for arbs with ONE strong central leader. They seem like they'll provide less of a screen than trees that are fuller at the top, but in the long run, central leader trees are the better tree. They are better able to hold up heavy snow in the winter, for one thing. Snow just rolls off, rather than buidling up and causing the trees to get mishapen.

I think the central leader trees look better, too. I always cringe when I see two "tops" on a columnar evergreen. FOrtunately the ones from the Botany Shop, which of course I did not get to personally select, have a central leader.
