we planted (the shade tree commission and hamilton twp) 1500 trees for arbor day!

How's the crab seedling doing now? It's so CUTE!

Isn't it? What do you think of the leaves? They are very tiny and variegated. I would have never tried them but my oldest son has a thing for crab apples ever since he was little so two years ago, they collected all different color crab apples at the NY Botanical Garden. The first plants germinated on the day someone we know died so I thought if I got something good, I'd call it "Grace" after her but then I want to get my kids name in there too. So I'd call it Vincent's Grace - not that I have plans of officially releasing a plant. One other plant shows a little variegation, a couple have the small leaf but most have a larger rounder leaf.
