A pH of 6.85 means you have a slightly acidic soil. It is considered ideal for most plants. At a pH of 6.85 your plants will be able to absorb the above minerals as they need them. You need a balanced fertilizer of nitrogen for healthy green leaves, phosphates for root development and potash for strong stalks. Bagged fertilizers will have the (N-nitogen, P-phosphate and K-potash) information included.

woke up this morning to see one side of yard with a dense growth of dandelions? What can be done organically to get rid of them. Too many to pull,besides wouldn't they just come back anyway?

The only way I know of getting rid of dandelions is to dig them out one by one by one..................And make sure you get all of the 12 inch root or they will come back. If you soak the area with water, the roots slide out very easily.

I read somewhere if you have an area with alot of dandelions it maybe too acidic. Is this true and if so should I lime this part of my lawn?
