If they are aphids, you can squirt them off with water from the hose. Even better yet is to squash them with your fingers! Gloves are optional!

Yep, a shot of water should do it. I have heard of a treatment where some flour is placed in the toe of a stocking (or knee high) and then dusted lightly on the aphids (they are soft-bodied and the flour closes up their pores). I've not tried it, I just squash them like Carol! Ladybugs are predators, if you see a lot of them in your garden, they will take care of the aphids.

Basically that is what I do. I just run my fingers where I see them and squash as I go.
I found some dark aphids on my coral bark willow but there was a ladybug there too. The next day, they were gone.

Just when you think you can't stand the nasty bugs anymore, the good bugs swoop in and demolish them. It has been several years since I've even checked my roses for aphids. Of course if you have used chemicals (killing all the bugs) for a few years, it may take time to build up the good bug population. Usually within a week of seeing the aphids, you can find the lacewings and ladybugs. Or a spray of water from the hose knocks the aphids to the ground, and it takes them awhile to climb back up. Quick and cheap.

I,ve got them too.tried using diazinon(think thats how its spelled )and fungal soap but no good,they still keep coming back.Anything else I can use?

The insecticide killed the good bugs (ladybugs) who eat the aphids. Buy ladybugs and release them periodically.

Keep blasting them off with the hose. I do this faithfully to my milkweeds that are currently loaded with the oleander (orange) aphids. Gloves are a must with these; I can't handle the orange on the fingers! I refuse to use chemicals; the monarchs will be here shortly to lay their eggs.
