He's pretty cheap, but quality is spotty. There's another nursery on How lane closer to Rt 27.

You can try the "clearance" plants, most likely in the back of any store. They may need a little TLC. Right now you would probably find bulbs. I have also checked out my county park system. They usually hold Plant Swaps in April & September. good luck.

Monmouth County is just across the border from Middlesex
County, and I keep pushing Cicconi Farms on Farmingdale Rd.
in Jackson; quart-size perennials at $27.00 a flat (that's
12 mix-or-match plants) which works out to $2.25 each.

And Lowe's, believe it or not, had some fairly interesting
quart-size perennials this year for just $2.32 apiece.

Sadly, gone are the days when we all hovered outside Frank's in the Fall, waiting for those final mark-downs
so we could snag tired (but still living!) perennials for
just .49 apiece ! What a painful memory. . .

And also in Monmouth, Gasko's.

I miss Franks too, I rescued sage, lemon thyme and lavender last year for 0.50 each and they are going gangbusters. Sigh.

2nd the comment on Ciccone's.

I went there 2 years ago. The plants are healthy, the selection is good, and the staff is very helpful.
