I'd check a Sunset garden book. I'm in the colder part of Nevada, so I wouldn't try either of those here. HOWEVER...probably the biggest issue would be humidity. If these aren't xeric plants, try planting them near a patio mister or around a water feature.

I love the coastal plants from New Zealand and California but we get too much cold here for most of them. It's hard to believe with these very warm fall we've been having but we were in the low twenties last winter and that would probably really damage these if not outright kill them.

There certainly was damage in our yard from more frost tolerant plants than these last year for us. But maybe it you frost protect?
