Has anyone else gone this year? I am watching the weather and trying to decide if I should go tomorrow or on Saturday. I went three years ago when it was held at Ault Park and loved it. I hear it is better now at Coney Island because you can park right there (we had to be shuttled on school buses from a drive-in movie before), and that the location was bigger and better. What was your favorite part? We loved the window box and container displays before, and of course all the vendors with their garden stuff for sale. Was there a lot set up outside? I heard on the news Cincinnati got some pretty hard storms.

I loved the container part the best, and yes there were a lot of vendors outside, and a lot was set up outside. I had to indulge in buying several plants and some very nice Asiatic lilly bulbs.Hope the weather improves for you.

The majority of the rain should be behind us by late tonight, early tomorrow (Friday). Forecast is for pop up showers Friday afternoon, then clearing for the weekend with a chance of rain over the weekend. I plan to be outside on Saturday. I don't think we will get much, if any rain on Saturday or Sunday. Although it rained most of the past two days, I worked outside approx. 14 hours. The rain is mainly a strong drizzle with short bursts of hard stuff. Go for it! I believe the Cincinnati Flower Show is the first to be recognized outside of England by the Royal Horticultural Society.

We went today - Saturday - and the weather was picture perfect. First time for us at Coney Island - a lot more space and better parking and easy to get to. Seems a bit pricey cost wise to get into a show thats primarily a commercial retail event. I doubt if we go back again. I did like the big tent displays and the containers were interesting - I guess. Sorta Ho-Hum. Had more fun visiting some of the areas garden centers and nurseries - which didn't charge admission.
