I had one for years and it looked great with mums in the fall. However, it was a graft and sent up suckers like there was no tomorrow and was a pain. It died suddenly last year. Too bad b/c I'm a Harry Lauder fan and the plant was truly beautiful. Good luck.

Oh yes, I had some ground cover sedum at its feet which looked nice.

We fronted ours with a beautiful little shrub rose, which takes up the slack while Harry is leafing out. A few perennial baby's breath interspersed among the tree & rose really fill it out nicely.

Thank you very much for your input, bakemom and highlandsgardener! I'm really excited to get him in the ground and try something new! I seem to try one new major plant a year, and I think "he" is my pick for this year!
