Early Spring... Soon Ending

I planted a perennial garden last fall and had a good two months of nice weather before snow and cold weather started. We've been having an unseasonable heat wave here in Northern Minnesota: highs in the 40-50s(F) and lows in the low 30s for the past week+. Looks like we have another week of warm weather and then the weather outlook shows a return to the normal: highs in the 30s, lows in the teens (or maybe lower).

All of the snow is melted, and green grass is starting to grow already! Some of my plants were still green under the snow from last fall, and I'm guessing with weather like this, it won't be long until new sprouts start to form.

Is there anything I can do to protect my plants from possible 10 degree lows for a few weeks if necessary? The ground is currently quite wet so I'm hesitant to put on any more straw mulch until things dry out. Put bedsheets over the plants at night?

I'd hate to lose my new garden after one winter. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
