Pine always seems to have a yellow tone. Green contrasts well.

Do you have this trim all over? Are you buying new furniture or you just want a wall color? I have wood trim in my house and like it b/c it requires no upkeep. I prefer to use lightly colored walls (except in my kitchen where I have a light chocolate) I prefer antique white and then use color in my furnishings such as photography and other colorful wall hangings to give the wow factor. There are so many things to choose from to add color. Check out Etsy.com and use their search engine to find what you need. This site has a collection of "shop owners" from the US, Canada and all over the world actually. You can contact the shop owners if you need custom items. I have a photography shop, nancyhehmann.
