My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Amur Maackia (amurensis)

Shopping for a small tree the other day I came across a beautiful one at my local garden centre, called Maackia amurensis (Amur Maackia). About 20' high mature, this glossy-leaved tree flowers early and has bean-like pods in the fall. Oh yeah, and the bark is absolutely gorgeous; like a burgundy/copper bark that peels somewhat like birch.

Am seriously thinking of getting one of these small trees for a small area (band really) dividing me from my neighbour. I've heard they are pest-free as well as highly tolerant of our winters and most soil conditions.

Does anyone have any experience with this tree?
