Sharon, it's a drip tray. The colors, sizes, and shapes of stones and glass marbles, etc. make my eyes happy.

Jane, the Summer Beach is considered an art shade. I haven't seen reference to the Sogo being one.

Thanks, Sheila. No fragrance to the Summer Beach, unfortunately. However, this brand new spike developed 3 branches all on its own, so there might be lots of flowers, and the plant's staying smaller than the large Phals, if those count. WC8

I looove phal summer beach. so exciting to see it branching. i bought a baby one at the orchid society last fall and she is spiking now :) i love how the flowers go from pink to orange.
