Dryadella was once a part of Masdevallia. I'm not sure when the change over occurred. I have 2 other species, but they haven't bloomed yet. I'm hoping something happens soon, but even without flowers the plants are really attractive. That's important to me.

I think I've talked about my orchid tank before, but it's just a 10 gal. aquarium with an open top. I have it off to the side of an east facing widow with a single 26 watt CFL hanging overhead. There's a fan about 3 feet away blowing over the top of the tank. The plants sit on a sheet of waffle grill supported by a few plastic pots. I keep about an inch of water in the bottom of the tank.

My coolish, humid conditions are pretty easy to achieve since I have hot water heat (not forced air). Humidity in my house naturally stays in the high 50% range or above and I keep my thermostat at 55 F day and night. Since the orchid tank is near a window, night temps go a bit below 55. Daytime heating is provided by a space heater in that room. Humidity in the tank is naturally higher, In fact, it's high enough to get moss growth on mounted plants.

This plant and a whole bunch of others came from Lynn O'Shaughnessy, not Andy's. I was really pleased with all the plants I received from her last year.
